Kids’ Dental Medicare Help

If you have children 17 years or younger, this edition of our Newsletter will be particularly relevant to you — please read on …

The New School year is upon us, and thousands of children are starting school for the first time, or entering a new year level. With two mothers of kindergarten children within our Eve Dental family, it’s been exciting for us to share in the joy of our young friends’ lives as they prepare for a new start.

Introducing the Child Dental Benefit Schedule from Medicare

Something else to look forward to as of January 2014, Medicare has introduced a children’s dental scheme for children between the ages of 2 and 17 years. If your family receives Family Tax Benefit Part A or similar, your children may be eligible. The Child Dental Benefit Schedule contributes $1000 towards dental treatment over a 2 year period and provides such treatment as dental examinations, x‑rays, cleaning, fissure sealing, fillings and extractions.

Using the Child Dental Benefit Schedule

If you are interested in making use of the Child Dental Benefit schedule, the first step you need to take is check your eligibility which can be done by calling Medicare General Enquiries on 132 011 or by going to your Medicare online account. The second step is to contact us to schedule a visit for your son or daughter.
